Mark Carpenter became a Managing Partner in January 2023 as part of the 3rd generation of ownership. Fostering a collaborative culture that brings out our staffs’ passion to transform the communities we engage with while providing high service and quality products to our clients and being a successful sustainable business is his primary focus. He leads KTUA’s Resource Management and Federal Planning market areas.
Managing our natural resources through preservation, conservation, restoration, creation, and mitigation are critical aspects of the health and well-being of current and future generations. Mark Carpenter’s objective is to help our clients, whether they’re a private developer, public agency, or non-profit, develop projects that balance the functional elements of natural systems with human activities. Re-connecting people with nature, thus encouraging the development of environmental stewardship, is a fundamental goal of every one of our resource management projects. Specialties include: Resource Planning, Land Management, Mitigation/Restoration Planning & Design, Recreation Planning, GIS, LID, Stormwater BMPs.
Resource Management Services include: Environmental planning and design projects that focus on recreational trails, environmental restoration/mitigation, habitat management, watershed functions, and stormwater BMPs.
Federal Planning Services include: Providing master planning and project development services to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Mark began his career providing GIS and planning support and went on to lead our GIS group and help integrate its usage across most of our market areas. His background in design and his passion for environmental stewardship allowed him to grow and adapt our work into watershed planning, trail planning and design, and habitat restoration/mitigation planning and design.
