Kristi Lin, an associate landscape architect at KTUA, brings a diverse background in landscape design-build and public art. With experience as an artist, she successfully completed a commission for a permanent steel sculpture in a Seattle public park and showcased her weavings in a solo exhibition at the Japanese Friendship Garden of San Diego. Kristi’s expertise lies in bringing creativity and meticulous attention to detail to her projects. Her previous role in the landscape design-build industry involved collaborating with contractors and ensuring construction quality on jobsites. This hands-on experience honed her project management and construction detailing skills. Brooke Whalen, Principal Landscape Architect says, “we are so glad to have Kristi on our team. With her previous design-build background and her passion for art, we know she’ll help us elevate the details that get incorporated into our projects. Those details are always what make a project unique and special so we are excited to see what she contributes.” Kristi is a licensed landscape architect and holds a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of California Davis in 2017. She is well versed in AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and construction management. Beyond her technical skills, she is also a community organizer dedicated to serving the public good, recognized as one of the Japanese American National Museum’s 30 Changemakers Under 30.
