Darren Jacobsen manages projects at KTUA, a San Diego-based planning and landscape architecture firm. He is a California Professional Landscape Architect and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Darren is well versed in all aspects of military facilities planning in the preparation of feasibility studies, master plans, BFRs, 1391s as well as landscape construction documentation. Darren holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1994.
Darren specializes in the planning and design of site plans and supporting documentation that includes BFRs, 1391s and report development. His goal is to provide an opportunity for all stakeholders to participate so that project solutions accurately reflect the priorities of the community and the client. He is a periodic presenter at the military facilities departments on site development plans that incorporate facility requirements, safety standoffs, utility modifications and vehicle movement requirements.
